Издавач, књижевни критичар и преводилац. Учесник Првог светског рата, као аустроугарски војник, да би 1918. служио и у војсци Краљевине СХС. Са братом Отом оснива књижевну заједницу и часопис Нолит (Нова литература) 1928. године. Гестапо га је у јулу 1941. ухапсио у Горњем Милановцу као комунисту и стрељао.
