History
Рођен је у селу Миланџа, код Ивањице. Гимназију је завршио у Сремским Карловцима и 1833. године замонашио се у манастиру Каленић. Потом је учио и богословске науке у Београду и служио је као ђаком београдског митрополита Милентија Павловића. За игумана манастрира Студеница постављен је 1845. године, а већ 1847. постаје архимандрит. Еписком шабачки постаје 1849. године, а 1854. постављен је за епископа ужичког. Умро је у краљеву 20. фебруара 1873. године.
