Хрватски композитор и диригент. Композицију је студирао у Загребу, а дириговање у Бечу. Био је зборовођа Кола у Шибенику и Звонимира у Сплиту, те директор опере Хрватског народног казалишта и диригент симфонијског оркестра Хрватскога радија, као и директор опере у Ријеци, те диригент опере у Сарајеву, Загребу и Сплиту. Аутор је једног од највећих (око 440 дела) опуса у хрватској музици.
